The "yule log" of hi-fi

The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back, turn back...

Your cat will probably love this. If your cat is into ELO.

  1. Oh cool! You love ELO and Sparks?

You are a reincarnated seventies guy who died in the seventies or something.

I love it when they play "Don't Bring Me Down" when I'm on that amusement park ride that goes round in an evil whipping motion on a track with like a fake backdrop of the Alps.

I don't want that ride to ever end.

And then the roller cars that go out over the Atlantic Ocean down on the one pier played the same song!

Then I realized ELO is the patron saint of rides that break down frequently and on which you might very possibly die but it will be to awesome production values.

So it's not that bad if it happens.

  2. My favorite bands of the 90s:

    Led Zeppelin
    Pink Floyd
    The Who

    (with muted affection for:

    Jethro Tull
    King Crimson
    Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Yes, the 90s. My 90s. I don't really listen to any of those anymore, but affection lingers. Stadium rock is an important step in the development of a young man's cultural awareness.

  3. Great stuff.

For some reason I missed out on Zep, but everybody who likes the other stuff I like likes them.

    So I know I missed a boat.

But I think it's too late now.

I can hum "Kashmir" in elevators.

    That's about it.

Oh and "Stairway." I can look soulful when it plays.

    I'm faking.

    But I can do it.
