Reading Solution Passage by Clark Coolidge. After about 20 pages I'm thinking, OK, I get it. Mildly interesting. Getting kind of bored now.

  1. First time reading it? Stop. Come back later. Between now and then, find John Yau's piece in Talisman. He finds the Rilke in it.

  2. maybe. it actually seems like the kind of thing i used to try to write myself, a lot of interesting word combinations just sort of one after another. but then i got bored writing that way. it's like writing has ruined reading for me. but if i hadn't wanted to write poetry i wouldn't read it. weird. nowadays i don't seem to like reading or writing it that much, but i want to want to just because i don't know what else to do with myself.

  3. If you don't like it, I'll have it!
Rasula's essay in Syncopations has sold me - and I really like his other stuff. I haven't been able to track down a copy though.
But my copy of Syncopations should be turning up on my doorsteep soon - as I no longer have accest to the University Library I've bought a copy.
Next on the list is McCafferey's Prior to Meaning.
